Inter Milan 2 Spartak Moscow 1

Internazionale almost let victory slip through their fingers but held on to beat Spartak Moscow and earn their first points in Group B.
Julio Cruz struck twice in the first nine minutes as Inter seemed to be cruising to a comfortable victory.
But Spartak had other plans and Roman Pavlyuchenko's goal in the 54th minute put them back into the game.
Dejan Stankovic had a goal disallowed while Spartak had a chance to equalise late on, but goalkeeper Julio Cesar ensured Inter kept hold of the full three points to finally get their Champions League campaign up and running.
Inter coach Roberto Mancini appeared to be taking their crucial tie with Spartak lightly as he left Hernan Crespo on the bench, preferring instead to hand Julio Cruz a rare start.
It seemed to be an inspired tactical move as the Argentinian slammed home his first from close range after only two minutes.
Alvaro Recoba's free-kick was rather accidentally laid on for Cruz by Patrick Vieira, and Cruz made no mistake as he slammed the ball in off the underside of the crossbar.
Recoba and Cruz combined again to double the home side's advantage before 10 minutes had even been played.
This time Cruz used his head to send Recoba's cross into the back of the net from six-yards out.
Inter then made the mistake of resting on their laurels, thinking that they would cruise through the rest of the match.
Just 10 minutes into the second half, Spartak deservedly pulled a goal back with Pavlyuchenko converting Denis Boyarintsev's low cross.
Inter held on despite late pressure to earn their first Champions League points of the season and leave their hopes of qualifying alive
